Few foods are more satisfying than a big bowl of Pho! Thanks to Bao and Pho Bowl in Addison for inviting me out to try their delicious Pho and Banh Mi!
I ordered the Combo Pho Bowl which arrived to my table fresh and hot and with such an inviting fragrance from all the great ingredients. Combo includes Rare Beef slices, Brisket, and Beef Ball chunks atop delicious Rice Noodles, and served with Red Onion, Bean Sprouts, Basil, Fresh Jalapeno and diced Scallions.
The portion is very large and they don’t skimp on the ingredients. I couldn’t help but think of what a great meal this would be on a cold or rainy day, or if you’re not feeling well. That said, it’s just a good when the sun is out and you’re feeling great too.
Although the Pho is more than enough for a meal, I also had to try their Pork Banh Mi sandwich, The Pork is tender and has what tastes like a Korean BBQ sauce and topped with fresh slices of carrot and cucumber and more fresh jalapenos. The fresh crispness of the veggies are a good contrast to the flavor of the Pork and the Jalapeno works well against the sweetness of the sauce. Finally, its all inside a toasted roll that really makes for a great lunch or dinner sandwich.
